We Earthlings all share this beautiful swirling blue and green orb in space, but sometimes we need refreshers and updates to be kind to each other as we explore, learn and grow.

Every week I am inspired to update my various practical and written life policies, tweaking bits, and opening my eyes to new areas of awareness that need my attention and adaptation. Reflecting on these aspects and writing policies is actually one of my favourite responsibilities in running dear Fiddleheads as it allows me to strive to be mindful of inequities around me and to be part of the transformations I dream and work to see in our shared world.

The tremendous global tumult from Covid-19 and other factors inducing a profound and increasing awareness of social justice conditions around the globe has been both inspiring and challenging for me, my family and my business this past unprecedented 10+ months. Thus I recently created a new Inclusivity & Benevolence Policy, which can be read here.

In my conscientiously-composed declarations, pondered with the loving input of people I admire and respect, I wish to provide a safe, supportive and welcoming place at Fiddleheads for those dear individuals and groups who are marginalized and harmed in our current society.

Fiddleheads' Inclusivity & Benevolence Policies now includes support for (but is not limited to) these essential matters close my heart and mind:

Feminism

LGBTQ+/SAGA Rights [Update June 2023] It's Pride Month every month at Fiddleheads!

Black Lives Matter & Human Rights

Autism & Mental Health

Education & Music Education

Environmentalism

Veganism & Animal Rights

I humbly appreciate the advantage of being a singular part of this essential evolution in our society but from a safe distance, an entitlement countless vulnerable people are tragically not allowed. Thus I am using the influence of my comfortable privilege to be a voice in a global chorus for those whose voices are still not yet heard in all the noise.

[Update June 2023] On the topic of noise, abusive comments and treatment is not tolerated here. Furthermore, Fiddleheads is a safe space and I will be honoured to receive your trust in helping you make beautiful music regardless of how you identify as an individual.

Thank you for hearing me and may we all use patience, understanding, and violin music to create a better world for everyone.
