Rhiannon and her music colleagues performed at a prestigious Thompson Rivers University annual Foundation Gala Fundraiser last night -- The event was Pirate-themed!

All ready to go! Posing at Fiddleheads' studio showroom.

The "Adventure on the High Seas" featured an all-pirate theme and Rhiannon's closet provided all the flair she and and her Kamloops Symphony colleague Laure needed. Performing as the "Going Baroque" duo, the ladies played sea shanties, traditional jigs and reels, and other popular pirate music.

Their bio for the event read:

Ahoy! Going Baroque is a Kamloops string duo consisting of symphony-caliberrrr classical violinists donning 1700s costumes, complete with historically accurate too-tight petticoats, itchy powdered wigs and other blasted fineries.

For tonight’s special performance leader Captain Rhiannon Nachbaur and her First Mate will treat our sea-faring carousers to a mix of fancy land-lovin’ classics and toe-stomping sea-worthy jigs to help the rum soak in and get this levee started!
