What happened to Bobelock cases? Has the quality gone downhill?
I am disappointed but relieved unmaking the decision to no longer sell Bobelock cases owing to a steady slide in product quality and distribution issues. I respect my customers' discernment and share my rationale for the change:
For years I forged a close working relationship with the original North American Bobelock distributor. His was a small family operation that stood behind the quality of the cases. Errors in logistics were few and far between, and if there was a problem it was always corrected instantly by the owner personally.
When a larger company took over the distributorship of these cases, the benchmark for quality and service declined steadily to the point I could no longer endorse or sell these cases.
Focusing on the positives, I continue to stand behind our Fiddleheads Deluxe cases (pictured below) as a superior and simultaneously, owing to less layers of management and more efficient operating practices, more affordable product.
They are lined with beautiful damask silk and rich velvet, are built with a multi-layer plywood and have all the fine features you'd expect from a professional-level case costing twice the price.
