Why are the strings or fittings in the photo different than the description?

Some instruments are photographed before the strings or setup is completed. Hence you may see the strings installed by the maker, and not those that we upgrade.

The most accurate way to know what strings or fittings are on an instrument is to click on the Description and Details tabs on each product's page.

Or you may see a photo of a violin missing the chin rest (which is how some makers photograph them) or fine tuners. Rest assured, chin rests are included with all our violins and violas.

Note with Fiddleheads you can also upgrade or downgrade any instruments' strings for the difference in price. We include extra fine tuners as requested with an instrument purchase for no added cost.
